Attractions
Historical Buildings and sites include the Plymouth Building, The Methodist Church, The Sinton State Bank Building, The community of West Sinton with historical Church and the Old Welder Park with artesian springs.
- The Art Gallery at the Chamber is located in the Chamber of Commerce. We feature artists from Sinton and the surrounding area. New artists are featured every 3 months.
- Historical Courthouse Built in 1927. On the front lawn is a commemorative statue of a World War I Doughboy, dedicated in 1938. Another monument known as the War Memorial commemorates Veterans from other wars which reads, "They died so that we could live in Freedom." - Rob & Bessie Welder Park is a multi-use facility and includes a RV Park, Event space, Outdoor Pavilion, Baseball and Softball fields, Soccer fields, Picnic area, Swimming (in summer) and Walking trails. Lots of shade and grassy areas to play. Call for more info 361-364-2381
- Welder Wildlife Refuge is a 7,800-acre refuge established in 1954. Free tours are open to the public every Thursday and the first Saturday of the month. Call for more info 361-364-2643
- Municipal Golf Course an 18 hole par 72 course. Plays 6311 yards from the red tees, including four Par-3 holes, two of which are over water. For more info please call 361-364-9013
- Sinton Historical Museum Showcasing the history of Sinton and San Patricio County. Including memorabilia from the Plymouth Oilers, 1952 National Champs, semi pro baseball team. For more info call 361-537-9516
- Hunting and Fishing numerous leases and guide services are available in the area.
- Birding Trail Sites The trail at Rob & Bessie Welder park loops through an area of open grasslands with scattered trees, and passes by an observation platform overlooking a densely vegetated pond. Migrant land birds often swarm here in the spring and fall. Look along the creek for the Green Kingfisher, Prothonotary Warbler, Common Yellowthroat. Check the brush for Worn-eating, Hooded, and Mourning Warbler.
